Nike’s “overbranding” theme that dominated their general lifestyle releases over the course of 2018 is apparently set to carry on into 2019 — but with a few bold new changes. Recently, images of a heavily branded Air Force 1 Low surfaced, but they eschew the style of past releases in favor of new racing-style embellishments. The shoe calls upon a combo of black and white for the base colors, while a large pink Swoosh with light blue trim and a blue midsole stripe provide bright hits of color. The aforementioned race-ready branding then appears on the medial heel as well as the midsole, and features everything from special swooshes to text graphics, all neatly arranged just like you’d see on a race car or racing jacket. Expect these new Forces to arrive in 2019 — potentially around All-Star Weekend, as one of the heel graphics is an ASW-2019 text hit — and stay tuned to our Sneaker Release Dates page to see what else the Swoosh is cookin’ up for next year.
