Fans around the world who have been tuning in to Michael Jordan’s “The Last Dance” documentary over the past two weekends are not only being reminded of the historic impact he made on the game of basketball, but also his iconic taste for fashion and lifestyle. In relation to the latter, you’ll find various clips of #23 pulling up to practices/games in his sleek Italian sports cars, which Jordan retro lovers will be first to tell you inspired the Air Jordan 14. And the classic silhouette, although having yet to see a physical delivery in 2020, has now just revealed a first look at its forthcoming Summer makeup. Unofficially entitled the “Gym Red”, this next take wraps its lateral/medial walls in its titular hue serving as the most potent feature, and comes surrounded with greyscale branded hits applied to the heels and Ferrari-esque badges. As of now, these are scheduled to drop on Nike.com and at affiliated retail partners on June 13th for $190, but stay tuned as we learn more of any release updates and receive official imagery.
In other news, here’s another detailed look at the Chunky Dunkys.
