Celebrating its 50th season this year, the Drew League has routinely showcased some of the best summer basketball runs in the country. From Compton native and annual returner DeMar DeRozan to Isaiah Thomas and Kyrie Irving, the LA-based summer league is steeped in the allure of attracting the best high school, college and professional hoopers in the United States.
Switching over sponsors in 2022 from Nike to adidas, the Los Angeles League has been gifted a tournament-exclusive version of the adidas Harden Vol. 7. Inspired by the dark green and gold colors of the original Charles Drew Middle School courts, the BOOST cushioned silhouette explores a decadent tri-colored scheme. Crisp white hues drape the pillowy side walls and inner bootie construction while bright evergreen shades encompass portions of the tread before concentrating along the heel. The League’s iconic “No Excuse, Just Produce” tagline comes printed along the latter panel while the vertical 3-Stripes add a complimentary split between golden and white. Elsewhere, the typically nubuck toe cap is constructed in a cracked golden foil while expanding the royal tint along the lace tips and heel tab logo.
The adidas Harden Vol. 7 “Drew League” is exclusive to the teams within the 2023 tournament. However, you can enjoy a detailed look at the pair below.
For more signature silhouettes, the LeBron 21 “Purple Rain” recently surfaced.
