adidas’ Crazy BYW silhouette surely lives up to its namesake, offering an intricate Boost sole unit alongside a basketball-infused upper. Despite being designed with performance in mind — due in part to the highly adaptive cushioning system — the model is now honing in on a more lifestyle framing alongside Eric Emanuel, the streetwear label that bridges the divide between rap, street, and the court. At the ankle, the model bears a sultry burgundy, trickling down towards the sole with a much lighter tonality of off-white, a deep yellow, and a muted pink. Accented by embroidery throughout the entire upper — in the form of two subtle Xs as a well as a much bolder dividing line — the BYW ushers in a much louder take compared to what’s been seen before. Cobranding takes form with an “EE” tag along the medial side while the signature logo sits much larger along the insole. Arriving right as the holiday season kicks off, the Eric Emanuel x Crazy BYW will hit adidas.com and select retailers on December 7th for a retail of $200 USD.
